Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Pilot and Rutter, LLC, doing business as “Pilot & Rutter” (“Pilot & Rutter,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit pilotandrutter.com (the “Site”) or otherwise interact with us. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Who we are
Pilot & Rutter is a strategy and management consulting firm based in Florida. If you have questions about this Policy or your personal information, contact us at contact@pilotandrutter.com or 754-223-9406.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide directly. When you submit our contact form or email us, we collect the information you choose to give us, including your first name, last name, email address, and the contents of your message. If you contact us by phone or email, we collect the information in that communication.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, which may include your IP address, browser type and settings, device information, referring/exit pages, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this information using cookies and similar technologies (see Section 3).
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as government identifiers, financial account numbers, or health information) through the Site, and we ask that you not submit such information through our contact form.
3. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, understand how visitors use it, and improve our marketing.
HubSpot. We use HubSpot, a customer relationship management and marketing platform, for website analytics and to manage inquiries. HubSpot places cookies on your device (including cookies named hubspotutk, __hstc, __hssc, and __hssrc) that help us recognize returning visitors and understand how the Site is used. HubSpot’s “collected forms” feature also captures information you submit through forms on the Site — including our contact form — and stores it in our HubSpot account so we can respond to you and manage our relationship. For more information about how HubSpot processes data, see HubSpot’s Privacy Policy at https://legal.hubspot.com/privacy-policy.
Managing cookies. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. If you disable cookies, some parts of the Site may not function as intended. You can also opt out of certain analytics tracking using available browser controls and, where offered, our cookie consent banner.
4. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about our services;
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Site;
- understand how visitors use the Site through analytics;
- send you information or marketing communications where you have requested them or where permitted by law (you can opt out at any time);
- protect the security and integrity of the Site; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers. We share information with vendors that perform services for us, such as HubSpot (CRM and analytics), our website host, and our email provider. These providers are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pilot & Rutter, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
6. Third-party links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services, including our social media profiles. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
7. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to respond to your inquiries, maintain our business records, and comply with legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
8. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information we hold about you, and the right to opt out of certain marketing or processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@pilotandrutter.com. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
California residents. If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
Florida residents. If you are a Florida resident, you may have rights under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights to the extent it applies to us.
10. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” signals or Global Privacy Control (GPC) settings. Because there is no consistent industry standard for responding to these signals, the Site may not respond to them at this time. We will update this Policy if our practices change.
11. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for a business audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
12. Visitors outside the United States
We are based in the United States and operate the Site here. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above. Material changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
